Using Our Shared Dropbox Folders

We’ve received some requests from some of our clients for help using their Team Photo Finish US Dropbox accounts recently, so we wanted to take a few minutes answering some of the more common questions to better help everyone! In this post we’ll go over some basics of Dropbox, but if you don’t see the answer to the question you have in particular here, don’t hesitate to call us at 406-837-1127 or email us at service@photofinishus.com for more help!

Setting Up a Dropbox Account

When we create a Dropbox folder for you, you’ll receive an email that looks something like this:

You’ll want to click the blue “View Folder” button, which will take you to the Dropbox website. From there, if you have a Dropbox account, it will ask you to sign in. If you don’t have one, it’ll ask you to create one. Use the same email address we sent you the invite to, create a password, and you’ll be taken to the main Dropbox page, which looks like this (only with a lot less folders):

Uploading an Image

You’ll want to upload your first image from this page. There are a couple of ways to do it, but the most straightforward way is to select the icon at the top of the page that looks like a sheet of paper with a plus sign next to it:

And from there select “Choose Files”:

Navigate to the folder on your computer where your image is saved, hit ok, and the process will begin! It can take a minute or two for large files to fully upload, so during that time you can send us an email or give us a call to notify us that your image is uploading.

We receive notifications when new images are added to our shared Dropbox folders as well, so even if you don’t let us know we’ll see it and get in touch when a new image is added.
